De’Ja Wood, a Ph.D. student in the Education Policy and Leadership program, has been selected as a Jackson Scholar for the 2024-2026 cohort by the University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA).
The Jackson Scholars Network (JSN) offers a unique opportunity for graduate students of color to engage in structured networking, mentorship, and professional development. This program is designed to enhance their prospects for academic careers in educational leadership. Named in honor of Dr. Barbara L. Jackson (1928-2012), this two-year program recognizes her as a distinguished leader, scholar, and mentor in educational administration for over fifty years. The program honors her legacy as a pioneering figure who has significantly influenced individuals, institutions, and the fields of academic and applied research.
