Mary is a PhD candidate in the Department of Leadership, Policy, and Organizations at Peabody College. Her research focuses on how policies, programs, and organizations can better support students as they transition to postsecondary education and the workforce. She has been awarded an AERA-NSF Dissertation Grant for the 2024-25 academic year to support her dissertation chapter titled “Ready for What? A Mixed Methods Study of College and Career Readiness Accountability Policy in Tennessee.” This grant is provided by the National Science Foundation and the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Grants Program, which offers research funding and professional development and training to advanced graduate students. The program specifically supports highly competitive dissertation research using rigorous quantitative methods to examine large-scale, education-related data.
