Two-year postdoctoral position in the Department of Psychology, Vanderbilt University, funded by NIMH

We are looking for a candidate with a clinical or neuroscience Ph.D. whose research interests lie in psychosis and social cognitive neuroscience. 

  • Prior psychosis research and assessment experience are required. Expertise in neuroimaging, brain stimulation, SIPS and Motion Energy Analysis would be preferred.
  • The candidate will work on a virtual reality based social skills training program to assess social cognitive functions and associated functional brain connectivity changes, and a TDCS project to examine brain oscillation changes.
  • He/she will be responsible for designing experiments, analyzing and processing data, and publishing findings.
  • He/she is expected to participate in social cognitive assessments and clinical interviews. 
  • The successful applicant will join Prof. Sohee Park and Prof. Geoff Woodman and their active research teams
  • There will also be ample opportunities for training opportunities, independent research and international collaborations.

Applicants should submit a CV, a brief statement describing interests and prior experience, and two publications (that best reflect contributions of the candidate) to Sohee Park. Salary is based on the NIMH Post-doctoral scale, and funding is available for up to two-years (appointments are for one year, but renewable for two years, based on progress/merit). The start date is March or April 2020 (flexible) and review of applications will begin immediately.
