Nashville is a vibrant, engaging city known proudly as "Music City, U.S.A." Located a little more than a mile from downtown, the university’s students, faculty, staff and visitors frequently cite Nashville as one of the perks of Vanderbilt. Go here to learn all that Nashville has to offer.
Through the Academic Strategic plan, graduate and professional student housing is being addressed; however, we are unable to offer on-campus University housing for graduate students at this time.
To support the housing needs of new and continuing graduate students, the Office of Housing and Residential Education provides a web-based Off Campus Referral Service. The website includes advertisements by landlords looking specifically for Vanderbilt-affiliated tenants, as well as by Vanderbilt students looking for roommates. Students may also post “wanted” ads seeking roommate or housemate situations. To access the service, just use the Vanderbilt Off Campus Referral Service.
Visit myVU Classifieds for apartments, furniture, pet sitters and more. Ads are posted by Vanderbilt students, faculty, staff and alumni.
Student take a active role in the the Nashville community. You can join the action through the Graduate Student Council community events or by checking out Hands on Nashville, the easiest way to find a Nashville volunteer opportunity.
