VU-EDGE has both informal and formal retention practices. We conduct programs for current students each year that address ways to thrive in their programs or departments as a graduate student. We also regularly co-sponsor wellness events with our diversity partners and student groups.

Informally, VU-EDGE acts as a point of reference to direct students to other resources that they may or may not know about to expeditiously receive the support they need in order to maintain a high degree of wellness to sustain their academic progress. Students that are struggling are encouraged to contact Assistant Dean Brunson.
